Downtown Durango

Durango is so pretty. It reminds me of when I was growing up. Sometimes we would stay here for the fourth of July and almost every year we would come in the fall and ride the train that goes from Durango to Silverton. We took the kids on the train two years ago and I think we will try to keep the same tradition for them. We ate lunch at the beautiful Strater Hotel (I had the chicken pot pie and it was delicious). We looked around at the shops and of course the kids got the hot chocolate we promised them! The last thing we did was let the kids go to the toy store and pick something out. We really had a wonderful trip, I'm so glad we went. It was nice to just spend quality time with the family, no distractions (like my computer). I really needed that and I think the kids did too. Noah kept saying that he was in heaven and this was the best vacation he ever had!

Sierra playing with the old time phone at the hotel and tyring to get a newspaper...

This was the crazy toy Noah picked! It starts out a really small ball and then you can stretch it out this big.
My gorgeous parents...
Thanks dad for taking the ones of us, I love them!
